Japan, Kazakhstan's gender equality initiatives of paramount importance
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Japan and Kazakhstan's initiatives in terms of gender equality are of paramount importance, believes Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Kazakhstan Masayoshi Kamohara.
"These initiatives are very important," said Ambassador Kamohara after the meeting with Secretary of State of Kazakhstan Gulshara Abdykalikova in the Akorda presidential residence. "This is my first meeting with the Secretary of State, and today we've touched upon a wide range of issues regarding bilateral relations and possible cooperation within the upcoming EXPO-2017 event," the Japanese diplomat noted. He also mentioned that Japan will host the 2nd Women's Conference in August. "Our Prime Minister wants the Kazakh Secretary of State to take part in the event. At least, Ms Abdykalikova promised to look into such possibility," Masayoshi Kamohara added.
