IV Astana Economic Forum to be held in May
TASHKENT. February 8. KAZINFORM /Kurmat Samarkhan/ IV Astana Economic Forum will be held at the initiative of President Nursultan Nazarbayev in the capital of Kazakhstan on May 3-4. Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan Boribai Zheksembin has made it public at a briefing for media today.
More than 3,500 known political figures, heads of national and international organizations, representatives of science and business as well as media from 80 countries are invited to the forum. Seven Nobel Prize laureates and a number of politicians have already confirmed their participation.
As the diplomat noted, the Astana Forum will focus on three key directions: Global Economy and Finance, Business and Investments, Society and Sustainable Development. Traditionally the participants are planned to make recommendations to G20 leaders.
B. Zheksembin emphasized that the activities held in the framework of the Forum were supported by the World Bank, United Nations Organization, Islamic Development Bank, Asian Development Bank, European Investment Bank, World Economic Forum, World Islamic Economic Forum and other influential organizations.
