Italian public appreciated professionalism of «Astana Opera» symphony orchestra

Within the framework of Kazakh-Italian project “Festa dell Opera Mediterranea” metropolitan artists together with Italian singers a choir presented 2 premieres of opera “Mena” by a Sicilian composer Plinio Maggi, 3 performances “The Barber of Seville” by G.Rossini and held a great gala concert called “Music between East and West: from Steppe to Mediterranean” in Sicilian cities of Catania, Noto and Gela.


“Italian public and our partners on the stage were amazed that we have young but very confident and truly experienced musicians. They told about very high professional level of our musicians, ability of the orchestra to be mobile in the context of understanding of the conductor, flexible accompaniment to soloists. Of course, our orchestra looks very attractive, young and beautiful people were very popular. After performances spectators came to musicians to take a photo, share their impressions and sometimes just to shake hands”, - musical director of the STOB “Astana Opera” Abzal Mukhitdinov shared his impressions. The symphony orchestra “Astana Opera” has come back to the Motherland not empty-handed - the artists have brought an honorary diploma and DVD of Sicilian opera premiere.
