Issues of struggle against drug trafficking discussed at Kazakh-Tajik meeting
ANA. October 7. KAZINFORM Kazakh Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Tajikistan Abdulatip Akhmetov met with Director of the Drug Control Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Rustan Nazarov yesterday in Dushanbe, Kazinform refers to the Kazakh Embassy.
The Kazakh Ambassador briefed the interlocutor on measure held by the Kazakh Government on reduction the impact of the world financial crisis on the Kazakh economy in light of tasks, set in the Address of the President to the nation.
The interlocutors paid special attention to the state and prospects for the bilateral cooperation in the field of struggle against drugs trafficking through the territories of two countries. The Kazakh Diplomat proposed to intense the cooperation in this field.
The Tajik Diplomat appreciated the coming Kazakhstan's OSCE chairmanship. he expressed hope that the Organization will pay special attention to the problems of Central Asian region in the struggle against illegal drug trafficking and precursors.
R.Nazarov proposed to Kazakhstan to address the issue of establishment of courses on retraining specialists of counter-drugs subdivisions of the security agencies of the region and Afghanistan within the OSCE chairmanship. Besides, he proposed to open a Cynology center under the Organization.
