Iranian TV Jamejam - 1 airs film about Kazakhstan
ASTANA. KAZINFORM On October 15, one of the leading state channels of Iran Jamejam - 1 aired a program, dedicated to Kazakhstan and its leader, 1st President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The channel broadcasted a 55-minute documentary film about Kazakhstan's history, its current development, culture, customs and tradition of the Kazakh people and socio-economic transformations of the state, the Kazakh MFA's press service reports. Iranian experts on Kazakhstan and Central Asia, who participated in the program, Dr Mumeni and Dr Reza Shahbaz emphasized achievements of the state gained since its independence, socio-economic reforms and transformations, underlined efforts of Kazakhstan's leadership to ensure stability and peace, as well as interethnic and interreligious dialogue in Kazakhstan, a home to more than 130 nationalities. They highlighted the President's initiatives to conduct the congress of leaders of world and traditional religion. The participants, taking into account historic and cultural communality between the Kazakh and Iranian people, underlined positive dynamics of trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian relations. In this respect, they emphasized the significance of forthcoming opening of the railway, connecting Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Iran, which is believed to lift many restrictions in the regional trade and advance bilateral trade turnover. Iranian businessmen were also interested in issues concerning establishment of favourable business climate and conditions for foreign investors in Kazakhstan.
