Iran offers Kyrgyzstan to use ports in Persian Gulf
On February 11, Minister of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan Absattar Syrgabaev met in Geneva with Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran Farzaneh Sadegh Malvajerd, Kabar reports.
The press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic said that the sides discussed issues in the field of transport.
Absattar Syrgabaev noted that the two countries have no problems in the field of transport; cargo transportation is carried out on the basis of bilateral agreements.
In turn, Minister Farzaneh Sadegh Malvajerd made proposals to hold a meeting of the Joint Commission between the transport ministries of the two countries, as well as on the use of Iranian seaports in the Persian Gulf.
The Kyrgyz minister said that an interdepartmental working group is working on the use of Iranian ports in the Persian Gulf.
Minister of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan Absattar Syrgabaev is in Geneva (Switzerland) to participate in the 87th meeting of the United Nations Inland Transport Committee of the Economic Commission for Europe.
As earlier reported, the Kyrgyz Republic is deeply interested in developing and strengthening partnership with the United Arab Emirates in all areas.
