Investment projects in tourism sphere implemented in Karaganda rgn

Baurjan Abdishev, Akim of the region, today has held a meeting which discussed the development of tourism. According to the regional Akimat, the share of domestic tourism is more than 90 % and it has a tendency to grow. The city of Karaganda, Karkaraly, Ulytau and Aktogay areas are promising regions for tourism development, as well as the shores of Lake Balkhash. Two zones and two holiday homes are planned to be built in Karkarala area of the National Park in the period of 2015-2017.In order to develop tourism in Balkhash there have been worked out the concept of tourism industrial zone, located in the area Bertys bay. In addition, two recreation areas, sports and recreation complex and a hotel are under the process of construction. Moreover, a number of tourism projects have being implemented in Temirtau, Shahtinsk, and in Abay district.
