INTERPOL issues Red Notice for Gaddafi, son Saif
LYON. September 9. KAZINFORM INTERPOL (the International Criminal Police Organization) has issued a Red Notice for Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, his son Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi and former Libyan director of military intelligence Abdullah al-Senussi; Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
The move followed request by the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Luis Moreno-Ocampo, for the world police body to "issue internationally wanted persons notices against the Libyan nationals" for alleged crimes, said INTERPOL in an online statement on Friday.
The publication of the Red Notice for the three men is part of INTERPOL's collaboration with the ICC to enforce its arrest warrants, said the statement; Kazinform cites Xinhua.
