International reserves of the National Bank amounted to $27.5 billion
ALMATY. KAZINFORM - International reserves of the National Bank have increased by 1.3% and reached $27.5 billion, the press service of the bank informs.
"In October of the current year there was an increase in international reserves of the country including the National Fund assets in foreign currency (according to preliminary data, $76.8 billion) increased by 0.9% to $105.1 billion. In October of this year the monetary base shrank by 0.8% and amounted to 3.7236 trillion tenge. Narrow monetary base, i.e. monetary base excluding fixed-term deposits of the second-tier banks of the National Bank, increased by 2.2% to 3.6544 trillion tenge," the statement reads. In September of the current year money supply increased by 0.9% to 13.4668 trillion tenge. The volume of cash in circulation fell by 1.0% to 1.3693 trillion tenge. Deposits in the banking system increased by 1.1% and amounted to 12.0975 trillion tenge. The share of deposits in the money supply has increased from 87.0% in December 2013 to 89.8% in September 2014.
