International Organization for Migration to cooperate with CIS countries
ST. PETERSBURG. July 17. KAZINFORM "No country, including the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States, can effectively solve migration issues alone. It is only possible to overcome all the negative aspects of this phenomenon together".
Vice Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee, CIS Executive Secretary Toktassyn Buzubayev said in Minsk, following the results of the meeting with Director General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), William Lacy Swing, Kazinform refers to the CIS Executive Committee.
According to T. Buzubayev the officials exchanged their opinions concerning further interaction between the organizations during the meeting. "We have come to understanding that our cooperation should be developed and have defined further directions. Studying IOM experience in struggle against human trafficking is very important for the Commonwealth," he explained.
William Lacy Swing underlined that he is satisfied with the level of cooperation between the International Organization for Migration and the CIS countries and emphasized their high achievements in counteraction to illegal migration.
