Did the Nauryz festivities get its assessment, significance and role in the society?

Many nations of Eurasian region mark it. The history of this holiday begins with the Pre-Islamic period. As is known, at that time the influence of the Persian culture dominated in Central Asia. This holiday is on the vernal equinox. From this day cattle which kept alive after winter goes to a pasture. People present good gifts to each other and express good wishes. Hence this day is called "Great Day of the People". This day people forgive offences.

At the same time Nauryz calls for interethnic concord, unity and fraternity. Hence there are all reasons for this holiday becoming of a factor uniting all people of Kazakhstan.

Is the UN recognition of this holiday connected with it? Can these processes be one of the revival signs of the Turkic world's role in the international arena?

The UN has recently annexed this day to the world's main holidays. It shows that political and humanitarian significance of the Turkic world grows every day. When the Eurocentric direction played great role, such holidays joining to the world ones was impossible. Nauryz recognition as an international holiday is a sign of change of geocultural processes, growing of the Turkic nations' role. In the future significance of the Turkic culture will increase in the international arena. Hence the contribution of the Turkic world to the world culture - stirrups, yurt and araba cart - influenced on the humanity development and accelerated the civilization development.

The "economy" definition is becoming unstable. The world has only one stable definition. It is "culture". And now its role will strengthen. It will become one of the indexes of the humanity development.

How is the history of Nauryz meiramy studied? How do you estimate probability that in the future the nations of the Eurasian space will celebrate Nauryz as a New Year's Day?

The civilization development is going through mutual influence and dialog of cultures. Hence cultural processes in the world, including holidays, cannot be named only Turkic or Islamic. Central Asia carried out interaction and dialog of cultures with the Persian and Indian cultures before penetration of the Islamic culture into it. None country can retreat in the framework of one culture.

How actively are political, social and cultural roles of Nauryz used at the present?

Firstly, Nauryz was announced one of the official holidays of the Kazakhstan state. It is great achievement. Nauryz is not only the equinox time, but it has much unexplored from humanitarian, cultural, political, philosophic and psychological positions.
