International conference on competitiveness held in Kazan

ASTANA. September 10. KAZINFORM Head of the Kazakh antimonopoly agency Mazhit Yesenbayev took part in the international conference on competitiveness in Kazan, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Competition Protection.

The event was held with the support of the BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, China) states and gathered together representatives of over 40 antimonopoly agencies of the world.

Mazhit Yesenbayev delivered speech on "Institutional and legal conditions for struggle against cartels in Kazakhstan". He informed on the establishing and prospects for development of competitive politics in the republic. Besides, the chairman of the agency paid special attention to the necessity of reduction of the rate of state regulation in the competitive environment.  

Bilateral meeting of M.Yesenbayev with Head of the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) I.Artemyev was held within the conference as well. Current tendencies of antimonopoly violations were discussed at the meeting. The Heads of the antimonopoly agencies of Russia and Kazakhstan stressed the importance of integration processes in the crisis and expressed readiness to share experience. Meetings with heads of other antimonopoly agencies were held as well.
