ASTANA. KAZINFORM The forum of national and cultural centres of the CICA member states has started its work in Astana.
Addressing those gathered, Kazakh Minister of Culture and Sport Arystanbek Mukhamediuly said that Kazakhstan pursues an active cultural policy. Inter-cultural dialogue becomes an efficient instrument of humanitarian cooperation, broadening of cultural and social space. He also expressed hope that the Astana forum will once again prove the country's focused efforts to strengthen ethnic and inter-cultural dialogue in Central Asia. Famous public figures of Kazakhstan and foreign countries, Kazakh Parliament deputies, reps of government agencies, diplomatic missions of the CICA countries in Kazakhstan participated in the forum. Following the results of the event the participants adopted a resolution with recommendations to further improve efforts in the sphere of interethnic and inter-cultural dialogue in the CICA member states, set up platforms and civil institutions to develop cooperation.
