Int'l youth conference in Indonesia to provide recommendations for UNESCO

JAKARTA. September 29. KAZINFORM The International Youth Conference (IYC) 2009 held in Indonesia's Banten province starting Tuesday will result the Banten Declaration to be submitted at the UNESCO's international session in France's Paris next Monday, Kazinform refers to Xinhua.

Minister for Youth and Sports Adhyaksa Dault said after opening the conference that the Banten Declaration would be born from four day-discussion.

    He hoped that the IYC joined by 150 participants from 20 countries could provide many inputs to be included in the declaration.

    He also said he expected that the declaration could change paradigm of all participants about Indonesia's bad image created by some people.

    He hoped that after returning to their countries, all participants could share their experience with their friends.

    The ministry's second deputy for pioneering and youth leadership Budi Setiawan said that the conference will discuss several issues faced by youths from countries to find solutions.

    The conference will be lasted to Oct. 2 and will be ended by visit to several tourism destinations and cultural centers in Banten and West Java, Kazinform cites Xinhua. See www.chinaview.cn for full version.
