Int'l conference on patriotism kicks off in Astana

The event is organized by the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan. "National history is of paramount importance for the formation of new Kazakhstani patriotism and raising of each new generation in the spirit of endless allegiance to the Motherland. It should always be based on the principles of unity, friendship and mutual understanding with neighboring countries," Kaiyrtai Amirgazin, the president of the Higher School in Omsk, Russia, told the journalists at the conference. In his words, the true patriot of the country should know his mother tongue as it reflects national traditions, culture and history. Participants of the conference plan to discuss a wide range of topics, including the role of the first President of Kazakhstan in strengthening of the Kazakhstani statehood, the implementation of the State Program "National in the flow of history", etc.
