Informal meeting of CSTO Foreign Ministers held in Moscow
MOSCOW. March 26. KAZINFORM /Narymbek Ismagulov/ Foreign Ministers of the CSTO member states discussed prospects of interaction of countries in a range of dimensions at the informal meeting in Moscow.
The Kazakh side was represented by First Deputy Foreign Minister Nurtai Abykayev.
As Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted at the press conference, a wide range of issues of international agenda was discussed at the session held on Thursday. The sides exchange views on the ways of development of the CSTO in line with the main dimensions outlined in the decisions of the Heads of states within the Collective Security Council.
"We also discussed interaction between the CSTO and other international organizations, especially in light of recently signed declaration between the CSTO Secretariat and the UN, discussed issues concerning cooperation of the CSTO and the EurAsEC. The parties exchange opinions on how our collective organization could efficiently contribute to the settlement of Afghan problems and threats emanating from this country", S.Lavrov said.
According to the Russian Minister, all participants of the session were satisfied with the results of the meeting.
