Industry and New Technologies Ministry set to updating Industrialization Map
ASTANA. January 18. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ The Ministry of Industry and New Technologies has started updating the Industrialization Map together with the regional authorities.
As the Ministry's press service informs, the goal of this work is addition of new projects to the Map.
"The Ministry plans to apply new methods and approaches within this work in order to cover small and medium business projects", a press release reads.
Following the sitting chaired by Vice Prime Minister-Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset Issekeshev concerning the monitoring of implementation of the country's Forced Industrial and Innovative Development Program, it was decided to establish special groups which will visit the regions to get familiarized with the situation and to update the Industrialization Map.
In accordance with a schedule, four groups headed by vice ministers Albert Rau, Berik Kamaliyev and Nurmukhambet Abdibekov are expected to leave for the regions beginning from this week. Besides, Minister Asset Issekeshev plans to hold a number of meetings with businessmen in the regions.
The meetings will focus on the following problems: the course of implementation of the forced industrialization program in the regions; inclusion of the small and medium business projects in the Industrialization Map; compliance with the productivity criteria; energy efficiency and improvement of the mechanism of the program's realization. The delegations plan also to survey large enterprises of the regions in order to find out which of them need state support under the Productivity 2020 program (reconstruction, modernization, diversification) and what is needed for their successful implementation.
