Indonesian robot team wins in San Francisco

JAKARTA. June 16. KAZINFORM Indonesian robot team from University of Computer Indonesia (UNIKOM) grabbed gold medal in the International Robo Games held in June 12-14, 2009 in San Francisco of the United States, Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
The General Consulate of Indonesian Republic in San Francisco, in its press release said that the victory was grabbed by performance of Robot DU-114 which got the fastest time of searching fire source and extinguished it by automatic water syringe.
Meanwhile, Robot NEXT-116 made by other UNIKOM student StevanusAkbar did not get any medals.
The victory was very encouraging given it was the first time for the Indonesian robot team to compete in overseas. The team managed to beat other teams from developed countries, including the U.S. team, Kazinform cites Xinhua. See www.chinaview,cn for full version.
