Indonesia confirms all missing victims found after Mount Dukono eruption

Indonesia announced Sunday that the bodies of all victims missing after the recent volcanic eruption on Mount Dukono, Halmahera Island, have been recovered, Anadolu reports, citing local media.

According to the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) search and rescue teams discovered two additional victims, along with an Indonesian woman found earlier, bringing the total death toll to three.

“With the discovery of the other two victims, all victims previously declared missing have been found,” said Abdul Muhari, head of BNPB’s Disaster Data, Information, and Communication Center.

The victims were identified as foreign nationals, men aged 30 and 27. Muhari added that the joint search and rescue operation has now concluded.

Earlier, it was reported that three hikers were missing after Mount Dukono eruption in Indonesia.
