Indian anti-graft activist and over 500 supporters detained

NEW DELHI. August 16. KAZINFORM Indian civil society activist Anna Hazare was detained by Delhi Police Tuesday morning as he was about to set out for his fast in support of a strong anti corruption Lokpal bill that allow civil society to surveillance corruption charges of officials, parliament members and prime minister; Kazinform cites Xinhua.
The arrest led to protests across the nation with more than 500 supporters detained by the police, reported the local media.
