Independence Day of Kazakhstan celebrated in Bishkek

BISHKEK. KAZINFORM - A diplomatic reception was hosted by the Kazakh Embassy in Kyrgyzstan in Bishkek on the threshold of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Nearly 500 people, including Kyrgyz statesmen, diplomats and representatives of accredited international organizations attended the event. In his opening speech Kazakhstan's Ambassador Beibit Issabayev spoke about sustainable development of the country, its unique model of inter-ethnic and inter-confessional consent and tolerance. He also mentioned global and integration initiatives of President Nursultan Nazarbayev on nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation, G-Global platform. "Kazakhstan will host two major events in 2017 - EXPO 2017 and the World University Games. The country also submitted its bid to hold the 2022 Winter Olympic Games," added the Kazakh diplomat. He also pointed out that Kazakhstan was the first country among its CIS neighbors to adopt the new economic policy - "Nurly zhol - Path to the Future" in order to overcome negative developments in the global economy. Foreign Affairs Minister of Kyrgyzstan Erlan Abdyldaev, in turn, wholeheartedly congratulated all people of Kazakhstan on the forthcoming Independence Day.
