In three quarters of 2009 foreign investments amounted to USD 13bln: Kazakh Industry & Trade Minister
ASTANA. January 15. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ "In three quarters of 2009 the volume of direct foreign investments in the Kazakh economy amounted to USD 13 bln", Kazakh Minister of Industry and Trade Asset Issekeshev has said today at the board meeting of the Ministry in Astana.
According to the Ministry, the most active countries remain the Netherlands - USD 4.2 bln, the USA - USD 1.5 bln, France - USD 858.7 mln, Great Britain - USD 693.4 mln, China - USD 550.6 mln, Italy - USD 473.4 mln and Russia - USD 418.8 mln.
"The Ministry together with the Commerce and Industry Chamber, "Soyuz Atameken" National Economic Chamber held 17 bilateral business forums, negotiations with over 150 foreign companies, 72 out of them conduct thematic negotiations here", the Minister noted.
