In Mangistau region the number of crimes increased by 46%
AKTAU. KAZINFORM - The number of reported crimes in Mangistau region in 2013 has increased by 46 % to 6380, this has been reported by the head of the regional Department of Interior Affairs Kairat Dalbekov.
"The level of criminal offences in the region remains one of the lowest in the RK - 108 crimes per 10,000 population (average national rate is 196). The growth of crime is primarily influenced by tightening of registration discipline", said K.Dalbekov at the operational meeting on the results of 2013.
According to his words in 2013 there have been disclosed 2659 criminal offenses.
Chairman of the Committee of criminal police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Zhanat Suleymenov instructed the heads of services and departments to maintain the positive trend in terms of crime detection.
He said that 2014 was declared as a year of city and regional law enforcement agencies.
