Improvement of living standards of population is one of priorities in President's Address – B. Sultanov
ASTANA. January 29. KAZINFORM /Rassul Bakhamov/ The issue on improvement of living standards of population is one of the priorities in the President's Address to the Nation. The quality of the economy is considered as the fundament for improvement of living standards of the population; Director of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of Kazakhstan Bulat Sultanov has said it today in Astana commenting on the President's Address to the Nation.
B. Sultanov compared the address of N. Nazarbayev with the annual address of American President B. Obama made on January 28.
"If to make a comparative analysis, we can see the emphasis made on economic growth in both addresses connected with the world financial crisis", B. Sultanov said.
The same time the main priority in the addresses is the protection of interests of citizens. For example, the Leader of Kazakhstan and the President of the USA pointed out the necessity to improve the quality of healthcare system.
The Director of the Institute noted that both presidents have underlined such objectives as to preserve peace, stability and security. An emphasis was also laid on the development of education and science.
The issue on support of small and medium businesses is also one of the important issues in the addresses of both Presidents. Active development of this sector is important not only for the economy but also for the creation of a background aimed at creating civil society.
