MINSK. March 6. KAZINFORM The establishment of a monetary union with Russia is not on Belarus' agenda yet, said Chief of the IMF mission in Belarus Chris Jarvis on 5 March after the mission's work in Belarus was completed, according to BelTA.
He added that this issue was not discussed during the work of the recent IMF mission in Belarus. "It shows that the issue is not on the agenda of the government and the National Bank yet," he noted.
"This is a big question. Extensive preparatory work would be needed to discuss it," Chris Jarvis underlined. Experience shows that if projects have not been well-considered at the outset, their implementation might be problematic, he added.
