III Central Asian congress of cardiac surgeons opens in Astana

ASTANA. July 3. KAZINFORM. /Damir Baimanov/ III congress of cardiovascular surgeons of Central Asian states has started its work in the President's Cultural Center in Astana today.
Leading specialists from Russia, Singapore, Lithuania, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and other countries take part in the meeting.
"Kazakhstan pays special attention to prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. By the commission of the President the Ministry of Healthcare developed the program "Development of cardiology and cardiac surgery in Kazakhstan for 2007-2009" that was invested with more than KZT 25 billion", Minister of Healthcare Z. Doskaliyev noted.
A two-day program of the congress includes a wide array of topics on cardiac surgery.
