Ideas of Christianity promote friendship and peace in Kazakhstan: Supreme Mufti

Dear fellow nationals! I would like to congratulate all Orthodox Christians on the Nativity of Christ on behalf of all Muslims of Kazakhstan and myself personally! Today our compatriots together with millions of Christians around the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Spanning the historical period of more than 2000 years, this amazing feast turns the minds of believers to high moral values, it fills their hearts with kindness and mercifulness, tells them to live in peace and consent. I am strongly convinced that high ideas of Christianity will always promote friendship, peace and accord in Kazakhstan, triumph of faith and spirituality. It is a joy to see that the longstanding strong alliance of Islam and Christianity here in Kazakhstan play an important role in fostering patriotism and family values among youth. Religious holidays are also of paramount importance in the life of our multi-ethnic country; they help preserve and enrich spiritual wealth, develop inter-faith cooperation for the benefit of all Kazakhstanis. At the Astana-hosted congresses of leaders of world and traditional religions it was repeatedly noted that multi-ethnic Kazakhstan retains peace, composure and consent thanks to stability, mutual respect , understanding and religious tolerance in our society and wise and forward-looking policy of our President Nursultan Nazarbayev. Dear compatriots! It is with great pleasure that I congratulate all of you on this amazing and truly great holiday - Orthodox Christmas. I wish you peace, kindness, solid health, firm faith, peace of mind, heavenly thoughts and spiritual strength.
