Idea to host OSCE Summit in Astana shows Kazakhstan's growing role on int'l arena - Polish ex-President
ASTANA. October 5. KAZINFORM /Murat Zhakeyev/ Polish ex-President Aleksander Kwaśniewski considers that holding the OSCE Summit in Astana is a sign of the fact that the political role of Kazakhstan changed on the international arena.
Astana's image grows. He said it at the V Eurasian Forum KAZENERGY-2010.
"Presidency in the OSCE is a significant event for Kazakhstan. The Summit is very important event. Turkey carried out it in Istanbul 11 years ago. Now Astana is a hostess and main promoter of the event. 56 presidents of different countries will come. This fact is actually a sign of how the political role of Kazakhstan has changed on the international arena", Aleksander Kwaśniewski said delivering a welcoming speech to the Forum participants.
The foreign guest promised that Poland will render fraternal assistance to Kazakhstan in holding OSCE Summit. "We will help your country to hold this conference at the high level", he resumed.
