Icy rain batters N Kazakhstan, highways closed down

PETROPAVLOVSK. KAZINFORM Wild wind, ground blizzard, precipitations and black ice forced North Kazakhstan authorities to shut all the highways in the region in both directions.
The city of Petropavlovsk is battered now by icy rain and strong wind. The weather service warned of the approaching cyclone last week.
