'I want to hear clear suggestions for addressing oil & gas issues' - Nazarbayev
ASTANA. September 27. KAZINFORM Today, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has held a session on oil and gas complex development, the Presidential press service informed.
Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov, Head of Presidential Administration Karim Massimov, Deputy Prime Minister K. Kelimbetov, Chairman of JSC "National Welfare Fund "Samruk-Kazyna" U. Shukeyev, Deputy Head of Presidential Administration B. Sultanov, Kazakh Minister of Oil and Gas S. Mynbayev and other officials attended the session.
The meeting reviewed the performance of the assignments of the President on the development of the country's oil and gas sector and the development of concrete solutions to the current problems.
"Today, it is necessary to consider the construction of a gas processing plant and a gas pipeline from the Karachaganak field to the central regions of the country. I want to hear exact and clear ways for addressing the issues of oil and gas sector. Today, some of the issues in this sphere are to be decided at the level of heads of state, though it's in your competence. In addition, it is important to carefully study the issues of further development of the project to develop the Kashagan field," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
Following the meeting, the Kazakh President gave specific instructions on a number of current issues in the oil and gas sector.
