ALMATY. February 4. KAZINFORM /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ "I had a goal to be a prizewinner of the Winter Asian Games. I have achieved this goal". Silver medalist of the Asian Games in super combination Igor Zakurdayev said it at 'Shymbulak'.
The sportsman noted that the trail was just in perfect condition today. After the super giant he had a lead but he lost in slalom and Korean sportsman won gold medal. "We trained long distances and spent too mush time for training in Super-G. We did not pay enough attention to training our slalom. It resulted in final standings", I. Zakurdayev commented.
Korean team is very strong in slalom and we have never won them in it yet. However, I am glad to be a silver medalist of these Asian Games', the athlete added.
