How many health resort organizations are operating in Kazakhstan

According to the National Statistics Bureau, as of January 1, 2025, 333 health resort organizations are operating in Kazakhstan today, Kazinform News Agency reports.
This includes the number of existing legal entities, branches of foreign legal entities and sole proprietorship entities.
156 of them are located in urban areas, and 175 operate in rural settlements.
The majority of health resort organizations are concentrated in Turkistan region, 34 are in Almaty, 22 – in Almaty region, 20 – in Akmola region, 20 - in Shymkent, 17 – in Kyzylorda region, 16 – in Zhambyl region, and only 12 – in Astana.
288 health resort organizations or 86.5% are private ones, 44 or 13.2% are public ones and one organization (0.3%) is in a foreign ownership.
