HIV preventive measures to be discussed in Bishkek
BISHKEK. October 5. KAZINFORM /Vladimir Dobrovolskiy/ IV Interparliamentary Conference of the Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan on the issues of legislative provision of measures on prevention of HIV infection will be held in Bishkek on October 6-7, 2009.
The Conference will be held by the Kyrgyz Parliament with the support of the Central Asia AIDS Control Project financed by the World Bank and the Department for International Development of Great Britain together with Joint United Nations program on AIDS/HI, the UNODC Regional Representative for Central Asia, UNDP.
Deputies and members of the Governments of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and deputies from Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, representatives of international and non-governmental organizations are expected to take part in the Conference.
The participants of the event will exchange experience in the field of modernization of the HIV/AIDS legislation during last years within the regional cooperation.
