His amateur career features 345 wins in 350 bouts. He has been a long-time leader of Kazakhstan’s national team defending the country’s colors at the largest international tournaments.
He has a professional record of 45 fights, 42 wins, 37 by knockout.
In his career, he held WBA, WBC, IBF, IBO, The Ring belt, and ranked #1 in pound-for-pound (P4P) lists for years.
Gennady Golovkin also holds a Guinness World Record for knockout percentage (over 90%) among world champions.
He boasts 23 consecutive knockouts over nine years, the longest in middleweight history and 21 successful title defenses.
Today, Golovkin serves as President of Kazakhstan’s National Olympic Committee and heads World Boxing, becoming the first Kazakh to lead an international sports federation.
Founded in 1989 in Canastota by Ed Brophy, the Hall of Fame preserves the history of professional boxing.
More than 300 members have been inducted, representing the sport’s greatest champions and contributors.
Ahead of the official induction, Golovkin hosted an open fan meet-and-greet during the traditional "Ringside Talks" Q&A session at the Boxing Hall of Fame Museum Grounds. The event is a cornerstone of the induction weekend traditions, alongside the Parade of Champions and the official induction ceremony.
