High level of public support of N. Nazarbayev can underlie further consolidation of society – A. Baimenov
ASTANA. April 4. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ "We are confident that the high level of public support of the Head of State can underlie further consolidation of the society towards increasing the country's competitiveness", Chairman of Ak zhol Party Alikhan Baimenov has said in an interview to mass media in Astana today.
"Nursultan Nazarbayev's landslide victory in the elections shows us a wide social support of the programs on implementation of the next stage of economic reforms and socio-political modernization", A. Baimenov noted.
"We wish Nursultan Nazarbayev fruitful work in the name of the country's prosperity, increase in people's well-being, strengthening statehood and democratic development of Kazakhstan", he added.
As earlier reported, the preliminary results of the elections were as following: Nursultan Nazarbayev gained 95.5% of votes, Zhambyl Akhmetbekov - 1.4%, Mels Yeleussizov - 1.2%b and Gani Kassymov - 1.9%.
