HEROES OF OUR TIME: «Kazakhstan created all the conditions for business development", Ivan Sauer

Agricultural firm "Homeland" is well known throughout Kazakhstan. It is the developed diversified agricultural enterprise which uses modern technology. It produces corn, milk and dairy products, meat, fruits and vegetables as well as construction materials. Through the optimal combination of science and practice the company achieves high crop yields and high productivity of the livestock farmng. In 2006 the agricultural firm "Homeland" won the first national contest "Altyn Sapa" and was awarded a letter of thanks of the Minister of Industry and Trade, a diploma and a gold medal of the Ministry of Agriculture. In 2010 the company was awarded a gold medal and a diploma in the field of black-motley breed cattle breeding.

In addition to high production figures, "Homeland'' Agrofirm" is known for paying great attention to the development of the social sphere. The village called Rodina has paved streets, modern house of culture, indoor hockey court, shopping center, restaurant, cafe, beauty salon. There were built housing for farm workers and day care center.

Ivan Sauer, graduate of Tselinograd Agricultural Institute (now Seifullin Kazakh Agro Technical University), has been chairing "Homeland" farm from 1987 and in 1994 the farm was privatized and became the first private sector in the Republic of Kazakhstan. He was elected deputy of Akmola regional maslikhat. In 2002 he defended his thesis in economics on "Organizational-economic mechanism of management of integrated structures in grain subcomplex".

For his services to the country Sauer was awarded numerous rewards, the most important of which he considers the honors "Parasat", "Dostyk" and "Otan".

On the eve of the Independence Day, the Head of "Homeland" agrofirm had an interview with our correspondent:

- Mr. Sauer, with what feelings do you meet the 22^nd anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan? What do you think is the main achievement of our country?

- This year, Nursultan Nazarbayev praised our work and noted our achievements. The main achievement of Kazakhstan, I believe, is that we live in an independent state not only de jure but also de facto. Kazakhstan is confidently rising to the greatest heights in the international arena. And all this is accomplished, of course, thanks to our Elbasy.

- How do you assess the work carried out in Kazakhstan to improve the business climate, to create conditions for business development including in the agricultural sector?

- In my opinion, today our country has all the conditions for the creation and development of business.

- President Nursultan Nazarbayev in his speeches encourages young people to actively participate in the modernization of the country. What advice would you give young people who want to be successful in life?

- I would suggest them to listen carefully to the President, and secondly, to listen to him until the end. Usually happens the same situation when young people take the idea, but do not comprehend it and do not come to its essence. The President says, for example, that ''Bolashakers" in 20 years will govern. And "Bolashakers" already imagine how they would manage the country. But to govern in 20 years, they need to learn and work hard today. We must cultivate out abilities, we must grow.
