Helen Clark: “Our World in 2050: More Equitable and Sustainable – or Less?”

ASTANA. November 9. KAZINFORM The Administrator, Helen Clark, delivered a speech at the World Affairs Council in San Francisco.
The speech laid out her vision for the future of development, the UNDP Kazakhstan said.
Head of UNDP focused on 3 key aspects of development:
- Examining global drivers of change which affect how the world may look in 2050;
- Arguing that poverty, inequity, and environmental sustainability are inter-linked global challenges and need to be tackled concurrently;
- Examining how countries and communities, guided by global norms and standards, are employing innovative approaches to address these challenges in integrated ways.
