Hearn: Golovkin-Froch showdown would be a sell-out at Wembley Stadium

KAZINFORM - Founder of Matchroom Sport promotions company Barry Hearn believes that a fight between WBA (Super), IBO and WBC (Interim) middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (33-0, 30KO) and former world super middleweight champion Carl Froch (33-2, 24KO) would fill Wembley Stadium, Kazinform refers to Vesti.kz.
The 37-year-old Froch was last seen in action almost a year ago when he knocked out George Groves in May 2014. The Brit also hinted at retirement, however, a clash with the Kazakh boxer may tempt him to return to the ring. Talks have already been held. "I would love to see the [Golovkin-Froch] fight. Obviously Carl Froch is a superstar and a great ambassador for British boxing. I think that Gennady Golovkin is one of the great talents in middleweight division. Now will he take that power into super-middleweight, where Froch is such a dangerous animal? It has all the ingredients of a great fight. It will be a sell-out at Wembley, no question," he told Sky Sports. "Would Froch be tempted by Golovkin, which is obviously the toughest fight out there for him? Even the Ward fight is easier, because he doesn't hurt you, he's just very skillful," Barry Hearn added. Earlier Carl Froch said in an interview that if he ends up fighting Golovkin he wants to take his undefeated record off him.
