LONDON. KAZINFORM - Health workers in England and Northern Ireland have taken part in the first strike over pay since the Thatcher era.
They included nurses, midwives and ambulance staff, but emergency care was kept running during the four-hour walkout.
The British government has rejected calls for a one percent pay rise, saying it could lead to job losses, according to Euronews.
