Heads of National Human Rights Center, Disabled Women Association met in Astana
ASTANA. August 10. KAZINFORM Head of National Human Rights Center Vyacheslav Kalyuzhny met with Lyazzat Kaltayeva, Chairman of Shyrak Disabled Women Association in Astana on Wednesday.
During the meeting the sides discussed the status of protection of the rights of persons with disabilities, further strengthening cooperation in the field of human rights, the mechanisms of exercise of rights by women with disabilities.
The sides expressed the same opinion about the importance of taking measures to ensure that persons with disabilities can exercise in full their social, economic, cultural, civil and political rights. They noted the importance of the forthcoming ratification by Kazakhstan of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and its significant role in the national human rights protection system.
