Heads of CIS states likely to declare 2010 the Year of Great Patriotic War Veterans

ASTANA. October 5. KAZINFORM. /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ The sitting of the Council of the CIS Foreign Ministers and the Council of the CIS Heads of States will be held in Chisinau on October 8, 9. Kazakh MFA's official spokesperson has made it public at a briefing today.
A number of issues concerning holding of joint measures on overcoming consequences of the world financial-economic crisis as well as the 2010 celebration of the 65th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War is planned to be discussed by the Heads of the CIS States. They are expected to vote an appeal to the CIS peoples and world community and declare 2010 the Year of Veterans of the Great Patriotic War on the CIS territory.
