Heads of CIS Parliaments to gather in St. Petersburg for conference on 65th anniversary of Great Victory
SAINT PETERSBURG. March 29. KAZINFORM /Yelena Myagkova/ An International parliamentary conference dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Victory in the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War will kick off in Saint Petersburg's Tauride Palace on April 7, 2010.
Chairman of the Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament Ural Mukhamedzhanov will deliver a speech at the conference.
As the press service of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly informs, the event will be chaired by Head of the Council of Federation of the Russian Federal Assembly Sergey Mironov.
Among other participants of the conference are chairpersons of the Russian State Duma Boris Gryzlov, Milli Mejilis of Azerbaijan Ogtay Asadov, National Assembly of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan, Interparliamentary Assembly of the Eurasian Economic Community, Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Boris Batura, Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan Zainidin Kurmanov, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Vladimir Litvin, CIS Executive Committee Sergey Lebedev and Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Mevlut Cavusoglu and others.
