Head of State supported by Afghan veterans
ASTANA. February 15. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ The Republican Public Association of Veterans of the War in Afghanistan expressed their support to President N.Nazarbayev in the upcoming presidential elections. They have made it public today at a press conference.
"We have been living in peace for 20 years. The international image and measures on joining in struggle for the nuclear-free world show the leadership of Nursultan Nazarbayev in the issues of maintaining peace and accord. On behalf of the Afghan veterans' organizations of our country I express our full support to N.Nazarbayev as a presidential candidate", chairman of the Association, People's Hero of Kazakhstan, general lieutenant Bakhytzhan Yertayev said.
Taking the opportunity, he congratulated the Kazakh Afghan soldiers on the 22nd anniversary of Soviet troops withdrawal from Afghanistan.
