Head of State: South Kazakhstan’s infrastructure projects will give a new impetus to the development of the region

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev has met with members of the public of the South Kazakhstan region, the press service of Akorda reported.

During the meeting, the President noted that the South Kazakhstan region is one of the densely populated and fastest growing area in the country. The President emphasized that a number of important infrastructure projects, such as motorway "Western Europe-Western China", pipeline "Beineu-Bozoi-Shymkent" will give a new impetus to the socio-economic development of the region. The President also noted that Kazakhstan is actively cooperating with neighboring countries to implement its transit-transport potential. "Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran" railway line will allow our country to export goods to the Gulf countries, and provide access to the markets of India and other South Asian markets. In conclusion, N. Nazarbayev wished the people of the region success and prosperity.
