Head of State seeks women's advice on participation in presidential elections
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - At the traditional meeting "Koktem shuagy" President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev expressed his willingness to ask for advice on his participation in early presidential elections of Kazakhstan.
"Truth be told, I had absolutely different plans. It's been a long time for me being a leader of Kazakhstan. I stood at the origins of our independence. Maybe, it is time to change the scenes. At least, I was thinking about it recently. When founding father of Singapore Lee Kuan Yew quite I asked him why he decided to do that. And he said that after more than 30 years leading the country he did not like what he saw watching himself deliver speeches on TV. I answered that saying that TV always distorted everything and there was no reason to pay attention to that. However, I have the same intention at the moment. But, the common aspiration and unity of people of Kazakhstan now is truly unbelievable. I would like to ask you for a piece of advice," N. Nazarbayev said addressing the women invited to the meeting.
