Head of State receives Speaker of Republic of Korea’s National Assembly
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Wednesday Speaker of the Republic of Korea’s National Assembly Woo Won-shik in the Akorda presidential residence, reports Kazinform News Agency citing the president’s press service.
During the meeting, President Tokayev pointed out that the first visit of Woo Won-shik as the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea to Kazakhstan is a vivid testament to the special relationship between the two countries.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted with satisfaction the dynamic development of multifaceted cooperation with Korea, which happens to be one of Kazakhstan’s key partners in Asia.
The Head of State expressed support for the efforts of both sides to enhance inter-parliamentary interaction, which serves as an important mechanism for further strengthening political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian ties.
Woo Won-shik thanked the President of Kazakhstan for the hospitality and confirmed his commitment to deepening Kazakh-Korean cooperation across the entire spectrum of relations.
The sides went on to discuss the progress of current and prospective joint projects, including in the fields of automotive industry, energy, industry, education, and culture.
The importance of maintaining dialogue at all levels, including meetings within multilateral platforms, was emphasized.
