Head of State meets with Arcelor Mittal Chairman
ASTANA. January 23. KAZINFORM - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has met with the chairman of the board of "Arcelor Mittal" Lakshmi Mittal, the press office of the President informs.
The meeting discussed the current activities of the company in Kazakhstan.
Nursultan Nazarbayev and Lakshmi Mittal have talked over the aspects of the company's participation in the development of the state's steel industry, activities of Temirtau plant as well as the implementation of various investment and social projects.
There have been also discussed a number of problems associated with the operation of the company's enterprises in Kazakhstan including reduction of production volumes and the number of workers.
The President stressed the need to address the issues and find right solutions together with the Government of Kazakhstan.
