Head of State familiarizes with new terminal of Kyzylorda airport
As part of his working trip to Kyzylorda region the Head of State familiarized with a new terminal set to be constructed at the Korkyt Ata International Airport, Kazinform cites the Akorda press service.
During the visit, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was briefed on the construction of the new passenger terminal worth 20 billion tenge.
According to akim (governor) of the region Nurlybek Nalibayev, the terminal will be constructed at the expense of a private investor who will channel 15.7 billion tenge into it. 4.3 billion tenge will be earmarked for construction of the surrounding utility infrastructure from local budget.
The airport conforming to international standards will have everything in place to serve up to 250 customers per hour. The new terminal is set to be commissioned next year.
Governor Nalibayev added that a modernly equipped bus terminal is set to appear in Kyzylroda at the end of this year.
