Head of State congratulates Kazakhstanis on Constitution Day

In his statement, the President noted Kazakhstan's law enforcement system has undergone drastic changes over the last three years.

Nursultan Nazarbayev informed the considered codes are taken into the development of the provisions of the Basic Law and the concept of the legal reform, as well as a part of last year's state-of-the-nation address.

The Kazakh President stressed the new codes' drafts are significant documents which will affect the life of Kazakh people directly, provide their rights and freedoms.

"The considered drafts of the Criminal Code, the Criminal Procedure Code and the Penal Code in new edition are developed in details and may be submitted for consideration of Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament. Generally, I suppose it is possible to approve the main parameters of the codes and tentatively put them into force on January 1, 2015," - the Head of State added.

In addition, Nursultan Nazarbayev paid attention to the importance of the complex analysis of the consequences of the Codes' adoption and raising public awareness.

The Kazakh Leader also noted the need to strengthen further work on promoting the role of courts and strengthening the law order's system in the country.
