Head coach of Kazakhstan's hockey team steps down

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan's ice hockey coach Ari-Pekka Selin is leaving his job after the national team's disappointing results at the 2014 IIHF World Ice Hockey Championship in Minsk, Belarus, Kazinform has learnt from Sports.kz.
Kazakhstan Hockey Federation agreed to Selin's departure after meeting with him on Wednesday (June 11). The sitting of the federation's executive committee also accepted resignation of general manager Nurlan Orazbayev following the team's poor performance at the championship. In Minsk, Kazakhstan lost all matches and crashed out of its group. It is unclear who will replace Finnish-born Selin and take over as head coach of the Kazakhstani squad.
